Biography

Aaron is a native of the St. Louis Metro area, and grew up in Florissant, Missouri. He was raised in a working class family who faced their share of struggles, which came to a head when his father lost most of his vision and became disabled. Watching his father's life savings and livelihood slip away after a lifetime of hard work motivated Aaron to work hard in school, so he could help other people avoid the same fate or worse.

He received his bachelor's degree in History from Saint Louis University, graduating summa cum laude in 2009. He then received his juris doctorate from Saint Louis University in 2012. While he was in law school, Aaron clerked for the firm, where he got his first taste of the rewards that come from representing injured people.

Before joining the firm, Aaron worked at private firms in Edwardsville and Belleville, where he focused on defending local businesses and municipalities throughout Southern Illinois, including police and fire departments, school districts, and other local governmental entities.

Since then, Aaron returned to his roots and joined Rich, Rich, Cooksey & Chappell, P.C. in July of 2019 as a partner. He now devotes his practice solely to representing individuals who are injured on the job or due to the negligence of others. His background of representing employers and insurance carriers gives him a unique edge in knowing the best strategies to fight for the rights of injured people.

Aaron is a member of several legal organizations including the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, St. Clair County Bar Association, East St. Louis Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and the Missouri Bar.

Aaron and his wife enjoy spending time with their three dogs, and when not in the office can be found in the park or supporting local restaurants. He is an avid sports fan, and enjoys traveling, reading, and staying active.
